BCPO® Certification is a voluntary, industry-led effort benefiting the members of the organizing profession, as well as the general public. The Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®) credential recognizes professionals who have met specific standards and proven, through examination and client interaction, that they possess the body of knowledge and experience required for certification. This certification program recognizes and raises industry standards, practices and ethics, and lets clients know that CPOs are committed and serious about the work being done.
Attaining certification is a great way to grow your business, establish credibility and distinguish your services from those competing for the same residential or corporate clients. The rigorous BCPO® standards and criteria will continually improve industry practices and core competencies. It will ensure that each CPO® embodies a professional ideal that includes a proven level of knowledge, an ethical approach and requisite experience. The result will be improved visibility for our industry, recognition of those professionals who have invested in their education, and consumer confidence in all CPOs.
If you are a practicing Professional Organizer and have accumulated 1,500 hours of paid work experience within the past 3 years, you could be eligible to become a Certified Professional Organizer®.
